What customers say?

“ Whilst on a day out in sunny Southport ,we decided to pop into Silcock Embassy. It's my first visit to eatery. The restaurant area was bright, clean, and well appointed. Ordering our food was easy, and the food arrived pretty properly. The fish and chips we ordered were nice. And reasonably priced, too. We both cleared our plates . The staff are friendly and there are customers toilet on site which were clean when I used them. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, and if I'm in Southport again, I'd definitely pop in for a meal again. ”

“ This has been going for as long as I can remember and that's some years. Very good fish and chip shop for eating in plenty of tables very clean and tidy staff are very good. Good size portions had the fish and chips and around of bread a cup of tea or coffee Is an extra £1.80 but still a great price, and we were all full after. Good Prices for Good Food. also has toilets its up the side street of weatherspoons the WILLOW GROVE Worth having a visit. THEY Also have a pensioners menu Which is great value You can enlarge the menue photo with 2 fingers stretch ”

“ My boyfriend worked in this chippy ten years ago and since I’ve met him he’s not stopped banging on about how good it is. It’s my first time in Southport and I have to say, he was on the money. What a shout. What a meal. Best chippy I’ve ever had. Will definitely be coming back. 10/10. ”

“ Lovely food, friendly staff, nice clean cafe with plenty of seating. The toilets were very clean. Prices are average, they do offer meal deals which are good value. We had pudding, chips peas and gravy, pie, chips, peas and gravy and our daughter had chicken nuggets and chips. Total price £21.30 Portion sizes aren't big but the food is what I describe as being a proper chip shop. Everything was so tasty. My only criticism was the paper that was on the plate with our food placed on top. This is useless and turns into a mushy mess if you have gravy, peas or a pudding, it also hinders you when cutting your food, I took mine from under my food before starting to eat. ”

“ Was looking for somewhere dog friendly where we could sit inside, and was struggling, popped our head in to ask if they allowed dogs inside and there are 3 tables by the entrance where you are allowed to sit. Ordered 5 meals , all perfect , freshly cooked! Will definitely visit again if we are in the area! Thank you! ”

“ Great service and a good meal. I will visit here again. The cafe was well presented and also clean. There is a takeaway attached to the restaurant too. The fish was great! ”

“ We had our little doggo with us and was welcomed inside the restaurant, which was a bonus as it was cold outside. Pie, chips and gravy for less than £7 was perfect. Decided to be posh and wash down with a small glass of wine ... cos why not! ”
